Title:
Analysis and Application of Riemann-Hilbert and D-Bar Problems
Speaker:
Professor Ken McLaughlin
Mathematics Department
Arizona State University
Abstract:
I will describe two asymptotic results (and some background behind them, too): one concerning random matrix theory and one concerning the NLS equation. As a form of intermission, we will see emerging from the bowels of those considerations a crazy method for analyzing the asymptotic behavior of an integral.
Reception:
Ross Hall 223, 3:30-4:00pm
All are invited to attend.
