Graduate assistants are typically required to teach one undergraduate course per semester. First-year students normally teach College Algebra or Trigonometry. Second and third-year students might teach Calculus or higher-level math courses. Research assistantships may be available depending on a student’s area of interest. These are awarded to advanced graduate students who are working with a dissertation advisor.
