The research theme for summer 2009 will be DYNAMIC EQUATIONS ON TIMESCALES. This is a relatively new area of mathematics that strives to build bridges between discrete and continuous analysis. That is, the research projects for the will be aimed at the interface between differential and difference equations. Anyone interested in either differential equations or difference equations will be interested in this program.

Research projects will investigate topics such as

Partial Dynamic Equations
Computational Aspects of Dynamic Equations
Stochastic Dynamic Equations
Applications to biology and economics
Transforms and inequalities on timescales
